Our goal was never to “outshine” flashlights. Instead, the idea behind LaceLights is to have easily accessible light when you forget your flashlight or don’t think that you need one. Once you attach them to your shoes, you won’t have to remember anything!

No! LaceLights use disposable batteries that are easily replaceable and last a long time!

Batteries can last anywhere between 1 - 6 months depending on the user and battery type.
The longer the LED is on, the shorter the batteries will last.

LaceLights use standard AAA batteries.
However, there are multiple types of AAA batteries including; Alkaline, Lithium and Nickel (rechargable).
LaceLights can use all 3!
Lithium will perform the best for the longest amount of time. Alkaline will perform almost as well, with slightly less battery life. Nickel will last the least, but offer rechargeable options.

LaceLights perfectly balance brightness and battery life. If they were ultra bright, batteries would need to be replaced every couple weeks. That would defeat the idea of “set it and forget it.” LaceLights conserve power this way and provide enough light while walking.

No! LaceLights are not designed for running. The light will bounce around and your path won’t be illuminated well. However, durability-wise they will not break from running.

No! LaceLights weigh 2.2oz each. Real world users consistently report the weight is hardly noticeable.
Using Lithium based batteries will further reduce overall weight.
