Who we are

We’re a small, family-run company based in San Diego, California.

The idea for Lacelight came from a moment that stuck with us. A family member was leaving a gathering when he missed a step he simply couldn’t see. He fell, cut his arm badly, and had to be rushed to the hospital. Not exactly how you want to end a family dinner.

After that, we started asking a simple question—could something have helped him see that step?

A flashlight seemed like the obvious answer. But the reality is, he didn’t think he needed one. What he really needed was something that would look out for him, whether he thought about it or not.

So we got to work. Our engineer set out to create something simple, automatic, and reliable—something that could help anyone see what they might otherwise miss.

Today, every Lacelight is hand-assembled and tested right here in San Diego, California.
